I really believe WHIFCRAFT features some of the very finest imaginary aircraft artwork the web has to offer, and it is to put to the credit of all the talented artists here on deviantART... but not only! It wouldn't be possible without all the contributors who see the art, love it, and think it would be great to add it to our galleries for others to enjoy!
These past few weeks have been a little disheartening, as very few images have been submitted. Two, three a week, maybe... Have deviantART artists run out of ideas? I don't believe so!
This group is not about one person providing daily images for your enjoyment. It's about YOU... (yes, YOU!!!) sharing with other appreciators the latest nuggets you've found so we can build up a coherent and enjoyable collection of the very best aircraft creations deviantART has to offer! Artists of course can (and do) share their work on occasion... but it's such a mark of appreciation if YOU enjoy their work and submit it to a group such as WHIFCRAFT for others to see just how good they are!
So do these artists a favor, and make their work known and submit the greatest images you find to WHIFCRAFT. They'll be grateful you did, and the whole WHIFCRAFT community (91 Members, 144 Followers so far) will be pleased to view these new additions on a more regular basis! Also if you have friends with an interest in imaginary aircraft, invite them to join us... The more, the whiffier!

WHAT MAKES 'WHIFCRAFT' SPECIAL...
Hi to you all, Whifcraft friends!
First of all I want to thank you for the ongoing activity in the group after the depressing May-June slump...
Ideally I would love to add one image per day in each gallery so that when people visit the page each day they always see new stuff in the mosaic. More images per day might mean too many images for members to browse, and also a risk for those that are not in the main page to be overlooked.
One little thing: when you want to submit art (yours or someone else's) remember to submit only one work per gallery and per day. It is specified in the group rules that one shouldn't send multiple submission in
IT'S OH SO QUIET...
Have you noticed how quiet the Whifcraft group has become lately?
What happened to all the great submissions from the early days, when I could hardly catch up with you guys?
True, some of your suggestions may not make it in the end (remember: no sci-fi or designs from existing series), but MOST actually do, so by all means please share the good stuff you find on dA with the rest of the whiffing community!
And if you find it hard to post to one section in particular, post it wherever, send me a PM and I'll move it around to the appropriate place...
I really look forward to discovering some great new stuff... Don't you? ;)
A NEW YEAR BEGINS...
As you may have noticed, WHIFCRAFT has begun its second year of existence and has now 65 members. For the occasion I reorganized the main page and replaced the "Featured" thumbs by a direct access to the galleries.
I still haven't found out why members can't submit work directly to one gallery, but I'm working on it. Meanwhile, feel free to submit to the Featured gallery and I'll do the dispatching work afterwards...
Looking forward to your suggestions and contributions, and thanks again for joining WHIFCRAFT!

THE BEST IS YET TO COME!
We recently reached the 50-member mark and I thought this was a good opportunity to reorganize the mess that was the "Featured" gallery... So now every old submission has found its way in one of the other galleries. Also, a couple of the latter have been removed while new ones were created. An introductory text has also been added to each gallery so that you know exactly where to find what.
As those who have submitted stuff may have noticed, I do not automatically approve every deviation that is suggested. Reasons for rejection are varied, but among these I can think of 1°) aircraft design too close to existing types (i.e. they would no
