WHIFCRAFT : A combination of "what-if", aircraft and craftsmanship: A skillful creation depicting imaginary aircraft. If you like to invent aircraft, this is the place for you! Whether you doctor existing photos to create new types, build the aircraft in CG, scratchbuild models in card or plastic, or use traditional artwork, your creations are most welcome here. Please read the rules below and feel free to watch this group, submit to it or join it as a member! 1°) Any kind of media is accepted: traditional artwork, computer graphics, photomanipulation, scale modeling, Lego, anything so long as what you depict is not a representation of reality. 2°) The purpose of this gallery is to feature work that shows a high standard of craftsmanship, artistry. and originality. Therefore all submissions will be examined but not necessarily accepted. 3°) Although it is not always an easy to do, please try as much as possible to indicate the copyright and/or origin of somebody else's work (photo, texture, logo...) if you are using it in your own work. 4°) The focus here is not so much on science-fiction than past or present aviation. If you create futuristic aircraft, it is best if they keep some kind of connection to the real world, i.e. preferably existing (or plausible) countries and no alien technologies!! 5°) Works related to existing anime or TV series does not belong here, so please do not submit any ships related to Gundam, Patlabor, Battlestar Galactica for instance. Let's avoid copyright infringement as much as possible... Thanks! 6°) It is possible to submit work depicting real-world projects that never came to fruition. You can also submit imaginary versions of real-life aircraft, but in the latter case, approval will depend on the originality and visibility of the result. 7°) Please don't submit tens of pics at once! I don't want to put limitations on submission, so try and be reasonable and submit reasonable amounts... 8°) Please submit to "Featured" only if there isn't a better category. Drop-down menu offers access to other galleries such as "Scratchbuilt models", "Profiles and Plans", etc. If some of the works deserve to appear as "Featured" items (i.e. the ones that deserve to be seen in the main page to attract newcomers). I prefer to be the one to pick them. Main page has to look professional and varied! 9°) Pics that are too small or do not show the model well enough will not be accepted. 10°) Multiple pics of the same models are often redundant. I'd rather pick only the best one for this group! 11°) The focus being on aircraft, I prefer to leave out the pics with funny characters (a mix of serious looking aircraft and caricature-like chara seems weird; however, we could create a specific gallery for "funny" drawings if there is enough material for that). 12°) It's cool if you don't just submit your own work but also that of other Deviants. It's the best way to discover new talents and make their work known better. If you have any questions of any sort, please feel free to contact me at bispro(a)online.fr ! |
